WHAT WE BELIEVE ABOUT GOD

We believe in one God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, as confessed in the creeds of the Church. God has made all that is, and has revealed everlasting and boundless love and grace through scripture and tradition. Through grace-and grace alone- God has freed us from the power of sin and death, and made us alive together with Christ.

WHAT WE BELIEVE ABOUT THE CHURCH

The Church is the assembly of believers in which the gospel is proclaimed, and the sacraments celebrated in accordance with the Gospel. We, as the Church, are a baptismal community empowered by the Holy Spirit to work alongside God in the world.

Through the sacraments of baptism and holy communion, we experience the living Word of God alive in our midst.

As Lutherans, we carry on a reforming movement for the life of the world, worshiping our Lord who continues to make all things new.

We hold to the confessions of the Lutheran tradition, particularly the Three Ecumenical Creeds and the Augsburg Confession, and hold them to be faithful witnesses to the God revealed to us in scripture.

WHAT WE BELIEVE ABOUT THE WORLD

God has made all of creation to be good. Through human weakness, we manage to squander this beautiful creation, and in our brokenness, we sin against God and one another. With boundless mercy, God has come to restore and redeem all things, and through the life, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, all things are being made new.

Through the grace of God poured out in abundance, we are saved from the powers of sin and death in the world. Delivered from the shackles which held us bound to the grace, we are freed to work alongside God in the world, proclaiming the good news of Christ in word and deed as God uses our hands to serve as co-authors in creation of God's kingdom.
